Sustainability at Avighna Steel
Sustainable metal packaging, scrap aggregation and recycling, and our sustainability commitments.
Sustainable metal packaging
Metal packaging that protects products and the planet
Steel cans, tins, pails and aerosols are infinitely recyclable, hygienic and non-reactive. They keep food, paints and chemicals safe without leaching, block light and oxygen for long shelf life, and return to the melt shop again and again — unlike most plastic packaging.
- 100% and infinitely recyclable
- Hygienic, non-reactive barrier
- Longer shelf life, less waste
- Magnetically separated from waste streams

Scraps recycling
Scrap aggregation and recycling as a circular business
Process scrap from our shearing, slitting and can lines, plus post-consumer steel, is collected, sorted by grade and baled for steel mills. Every tonne recycled saves raw ore, energy and emissions, and closes the loop on the steel we supply.
- Aggregation from our own lines and customers
- Sorted and graded for mill re-melting
- Lower energy and emissions than virgin steel
- Traceable, documented despatch

Steel Is the Circular Material
Our environmental case isn't a pledge — it's how the business already runs.
Scrap aggregated through RegenX re-enters Avighna's own reprocessing line, displacing virgin steel input tonne for tonne.
Reprocessed flat-rolled material carries materially lower embodied carbon than primary steelmaking.
Application-matched slitting and nested blanking cut offcut waste on the customer's line, not just ours.
Every product we ship — coil, sheet, can or drum — is fully recyclable at end of life.
