Blanking

Blanking cuts flat sheet or coil into shaped pieces, called blanks, using a die in a press. The blank is the exact outline of the part you will later stamp, draw or form, so it arrives at your line ready to use without further trimming.

Using pre-cut blanks removes a whole operation from your plant, lowers the steel you pay for and reduces scrap handling. Our die layouts nest shapes closely on the sheet to get the most blanks from each tonne, and edges are kept clean so your forming tools last longer.

Avighna blanks hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanised and coated steels to your drawing. You can send us your own material or ask us to arrange it; either way, every lot is checked for dimensions and edge quality, counted, packed and tracked through our digital order record from receipt to despatch.
