Coating

Colour coating applies paint to steel coil on a continuous line, turning galvanised (GI) or Galvalume base into pre-painted PPGI or PPGL. The coil is cleaned, chemically pre-treated, primed, top-coated and baked in ovens so the paint bonds firmly and cures evenly along the whole length.

Pre-painted coil saves painting after fabrication, gives a uniform factory finish and protects steel from rust for many years. Performance depends on correct pre-treatment, paint type and film thickness, all of which are set to where the steel will be used, from dry inland sheds to salty coastal sites.

Avighna's Khopoli colour coating line is planned at 1,20,000 MT per annum. We coat to the shade, gloss and paint system you specify, and every coil is tested for film thickness, adhesion, gloss and colour match before despatch, with results stored against the coil in our digital record.
