Barrel Manufacturing

Barrel manufacturing forms steel sheet into large drums for storing and transporting liquids and chemicals in bulk. The body sheet is rolled and seam-welded into a cylinder, rolling hoops are formed for strength, and top and bottom heads are double-seamed on to make a sealed, robust container.

Industrial drums must survive stacking, rolling, forklift handling and long road journeys without leaking. Strong seams, correct sheet thickness and the right internal coating for the contents are essential, especially for hazardous or food-grade products.

Avighna builds drums and barrels in CR, GI and PPGI steel with reinforced seaming, and can supply the steel from our own processing lines. Every drum is pressure and leak-tested, and batches are recorded digitally so you have a full quality history for each consignment.
