Shearing, also called cut-to-length (CTL), turns a steel coil into flat sheets of an exact length. The coil is uncoiled, straightened on a multi-roll leveller to remove coil set, measured, and cut across its width by a hydraulic or mechanical shear blade. The finished sheets are stacked, counted and packed ready for your press shop, printing line or fabrication floor.

Metal offset printing puts brand artwork, colours and regulatory text directly onto tinplate or tin-free steel sheets before they are made into cans. Sheets are first coated with a base lacquer, then printed colour by colour through offset rollers and cured in ovens, finishing with a protective varnish.

Tin can manufacturing turns plain or printed tinplate sheets into finished, ready-to-fill packs — from food cans to general line containers: square, rectangular and round tins from 1 to 18 litres for edible oil, ghee, lubricants and agrochemicals. Sheets are slit into body blanks, rolled and welded or seamed into cylinders or square bodies, flanged, and joined to ends that are stamped separately. Handles, lids and internal linings are added to suit the product.

A tin aerosol can is a pressurised container that releases its contents as a fine spray, foam or gel when the valve is pressed. Most metal aerosols are three-piece tinplate cans: a printed cylindrical body, a domed top that holds the valve cup, and a concave bottom that resists internal pressure.

Pails are open-top steel containers with a lid and wire handle, used to pack and carry viscous products such as paints, chemicals, adhesives, grease and printing inks. They come in two main shapes: conical pails, which nest inside each other to save freight space when empty, and straight-sided pails, which give more volume for the same footprint.

Barrel manufacturing forms steel sheet into large drums for storing and transporting liquids and chemicals in bulk. The body sheet is rolled and seam-welded into a cylinder, rolling hoops are formed for strength, and top and bottom heads are double-seamed on to make a sealed, robust container.
