What Avighna does with HR (Hot Rolled)
How HR (Hot Rolled) is made
Slab is reheated and rolled above recrystallisation temperature into sheet and plate.

- 1Reheating
Cast slab is brought to roughly 1,200 °C in a walking-beam furnace.
- 2Roughing & finishing mills
Successive stands reduce the slab to strip at controlled finishing temperature.
- 3Run-out cooling & coiling
Laminar cooling sets mechanical properties before the strip is coiled.
- 4Shearing to length
We shear plate and sheet to customer-specified lengths for fabrication and drum bodies.
