What Avighna does with PPGL

How it is made

How PPGL is made

The same paint system as PPGI, applied over an aluminium-zinc (Galvalume) substrate for harsher exposure.

Pre-painted Galvalume coil leaving the coating line

  1. 1
    Galvalume substrate

The base coil carries a 55% aluminium-zinc alloy coating, markedly more durable than plain zinc.

  2. 2
    Pretreatment

A conversion coating is applied so the paint system keys into the alloy surface.

  3. 3
    Primer & top coat

Primer and finish coats are roller-applied and oven-baked to controlled film thickness.

  4. 4
    Testing & despatch

Salt spray, bend and adhesion checks confirm coastal and industrial suitability before despatch.
